This 3D light picture is made as a lithophane. Your photo is translated into different material thicknesses. Backlighting creates a detailed image with a special sense of depth.

Whether a family photo, wedding picture, pet photo, or a special moment together – your personal photo becomes a unique, custom-made piece.

The 3D light picture is ideal as a personal gift for a birthday, wedding, anniversary, Christmas, or as a keepsake of a special person or beloved pet. It is also a special alternative to a classic photo gift for a 50th, 60th, or 70th birthday.

You send me your desired photo, I prepare it for 3D printing and create your personal light picture from it.

Made using 3D printing

The light picture is made from white PLA. Different material thicknesses create fine gradations of brightness that make the motif visible when backlit.

PLA is a bio-based plastic that is predominantly made from renewable raw materials such as corn starch or sugarcane.

The stand is exclusively for placing the picture and has no integrated lighting. For the full image effect, the 3D light picture can be placed, for example, in front of a lamp, an LED light, or a bright window.

The light box can be equipped with a suitable, 8 mm wide LED strip. A cable outlet in the back wall is already provided.

For surrounding lighting, depending on the image size, you need approximately the following LED strip length:

  • 10 × 15 cm: approx. 50 cm
  • 15 × 20 cm: approx. 70 cm
  • 20 × 20 cm: approx. 80 cm

A light source is not included.

Notes on Personalization

Please upload a photo that is as sharp, well-lit, and high-contrast as possible. The higher the image quality, the more detailed the lithophane can be.

Quality Notice

Fine layer lines may be visible due to the 3D printing process. These are characteristic of the manufacturing process and do not constitute a quality defect.
Safety and Usage Instructions

General Safety
Decorative item, not a toy. Supplied without LED light strip, power supply or other electrical components. Keep small or damaged parts away from children and pets.

Storage and Use
Attach exclusively a suitable 5 V DC LED COB light strip to the designated, visible adhesive position. The total electrical power must not exceed 5 W per light box. Use only a safety-tested 5 V power supply suitable for the LED strip. Do not pinch or damage the cable. Do not cover the light box.

Cleaning and Care
Disconnect the LED power supply before cleaning. Clean the housing only with a dry or slightly damp, soft cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaners or solvents.

Fire and Heat Protection
Do not use candles, incandescent or halogen bulbs or other heat sources. The temperature of the PLA housing surfaces must not exceed 40 °C during operation. In case of unusual heating, odor or deformation, switch off immediately and do not continue operation.

Inspection and Damage
Before operation, check the housing for cracks and deformation, ensure the LED strip is securely attached and that the cable routing is free and undamaged. Do not use damaged parts. The suitability of the specific LED strip used must be confirmed by the documented temperature test before commissioning.

Disposal
Dispose of the housing in accordance with local waste disposal regulations; return retrofitted electronics and power supplies separately via an electrical waste collection service.

For non-personalized products, consumer purchases are generally subject to the statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days from receipt of the goods.

For custom-made or clearly personalized products, the statutory right of withdrawal may be excluded.
